This announcement, about Debian officially supports Pegasos II, was made long time ago, think it was around when the first Pegasos II came out. Actually debian was the distribution that was first in announcing officially support of the Pegasos II platform.
However as the support was from sarge (by that time sarge was in testing state) and upwards, support was not in stable (by that time woody).
I dont know if this is very difficult to understand maybe ?, because several people tends to ask the same questions again and again...
Now sarge have been released as stable as the newsitem, and release tells about. :-)
