| | | | Pieter Van den Abeele released a Cube GameCD today for the Open Desktop Workstation.
The 190MB ISO is available from the Gentoo mirrors (/experimental/ppc/livecd).
Requirements:
- Open Desktop Workstation
- ATI Radeon video card
- G4 Altivec enabled CPU
- Monitor capable of 1024x768 and 800x600 in 32bit color

"The current GameCD is designed for the Open Desktop Workstation that is available for pre-order in our store for $999. A livecd for Apple machines that have hardware accelerated 3D rendering support (DRI) will be available in the near future. The 198M GameCD can be found in the experimental/ppc/livecd directory on our mirrors, and will be demoed on a cluster of Open Desktop Workstations in our dev-room at FOSDEM 2005 (Frag your favorite Gentoo Developer! ). Kudos to our Games team for maintaining metadata for countless games on all our various supported architectures."
