Linus Torvalds Goes PowerPC

The original Linux creator Linus Torvalds has switched from x86 to PPC as his main desktop platform. He uses a dual 2 GHz G5 PowerMac (PPC 970) that he got for free. He runs Linux and there is no information on which distribution he chose.

If you look at the documentry "The Code - Linux", you will see that he isn't much into graphical environments, I think he is running fvwm and using emacs in a xterm.

In the documentry "Revolution OS", you can see Linus boot up his computer, but you see it only shortly and only the right side of the monitor, so you seen only those green OK.

I think I have heared that he has used RedHat and Debian, so he may choose to have a sea of distros installed for fun, I don't think he will tell which distro he uses most, so to not make one distro to self proclaim to be the official linux.

Sadly Genesi didn't have a such powerfull Pegasos to give away to Linux, maybe they will give him a Quadra G5 when the PegasosIII is finished ;)
