Ubuntu 7.04 was released today and what has been discussed for many months seems to have come true. There appears to be no official PowerPC version available. The following versions are available:

Ubuntu Desktop:
i386
AMD64

Ubuntu Server:
i386
AMD64
SPARC

PowerPC CD's still exists, thus community supported rather than supported by Canonical. For example, there is a special CD just for PlayStation 3 :) Can be found on http://se.cdimage.ubuntu.com/ports/releases/feisty/release/. And yes, the server i very slow... Does not work on the Pegasos however.

You make an upgrade from 6.10 to 7.04 but it will endup with the same problem as with 6.10 - X won't start.

Yes, a ugly workaround is to unmount /sys restart X and then mount /sys again. Can maybe make a new xserver-xorg-core package for feisty also.

If you can provide a package as you did for 6.10 it would be very nice.
