Microsoft Anti-Spyware Deleting Norton Anti-Virus
Posted by: ironfist on Sunday, February 12, 2006 - 13:49
Submitted by ironfist
The latest update (Feb 10) to Microsoft Anti-Spyware is recognizing Norton Anti-Virus as a password-stealing program and recommends the user to delete it. It only deletes certain files which makes it a real pain to restore. You must do some serious Windows Register editing and then a reinstall of Norton Anti-Virus.
Microsoft said they are shipping updates to fix this problem but there are many posts in their support forum from people with problems..
