Has anyone got ubuntu 5.10 installed and running on pegasosI system ?

When i try to install ubuntu with command: boot /pci/ide/cd install/powerpc/vmlinuz_chrp.initrd;1 root=/dev/ram
it loads a while displays a lot of 00 00 00 etc. and then just hangs! Crying or Very sad

Can anyone point me to linux installation guide to pegasosI ?
(No matter what distribution.)

The Pegasos I is tricky with Linux. Gentoo 2004.3
is supposed to work with it. I always used a very
old Debian Sarge netinstaller when I used it on a Pegasos I.

Boot this kernel, make sure you have a working
Internet connection. It will download everything
you need. The tricky part is getting the final boot-
image on your bootpartition. On the Pegasos I it
has to be a FFS-partition and the Debian installer
can't read this. So you will have to mount your
ext3 Linux root in MorphOS and copy it from there.

I agree with ironfist that Linux on PegasosI is tricky, back in the time when I had a PegasosI I tried a few times to install Linux, but that failed all the times, including the Debian netistaller, the only thing that worked for me was MorphOS.
