MorphOS - Giggledisk

I am trying to mount my linux partitions in MorphOS.

I have ext filesystem in L but I can't figure out how to use (the exact command!) giggledisk to create a mountlist!?!

My two ext. partitions (home and root) are located at partition number 5 and 6.

I want giggledisk to create a mounlist that I can copy to devs so that the linux partitions are automounted on boot.

Any suggestions?

Hi JohnFante,

I haven't tried myself, but isn't there an example of a mount file in the ext2 file-archive ? Also there might be differences if the file system is EXT2 or EXT3 (Dostype differ). Mount files should resist in Devs/Dosdrivers for being automatically activated upon boot. Have neither not used giggledisk myself.

I mailed Marek (the author of the Ext2 filesystem) and he gave me the solution. Smile

giggledisk ide.device TO RAM:

That creates the mountlists in RAM.

Afterhand you have to make sure that the filesystem point to L:Ext2Filesystem. Giggledisk sometimes dos'nt do that automaticly.

Just a note. If both your home and your root Linux partitions are called LNX ind scsi.config. Then they will overwrite each other when they are created by giggledisk (uses the name from here) and then you have to create on of them manually. That ain't a problem since you just change the name and the start and end cycle.
