After a bit stuggle, I managed to make MV643XX_ETH drivers for kernel 2.6.10, this driver will be in kernel 2.6.12.
I have left the old driver to be in the kernel, you may get strange results if you compile both the old and new driver into the kernel, so do not do that.
The new driver requiers you have the SamrtFirmware 1.2, don't know what benefits you will get (I guess that you will be able to use both gigabit ports, if you would have the expantioncard for the second port), but I think it's more even on the speed than the old one (could be my imagination).
