As subject tells then, watch the picture below.

You can have a look by yourself which chipset your computer might have, using the recently released MorphOS version of Scout, to find here at: Aminet

Note, a Pegasos computer is best to test on Wink

Hope for the best result !

No, only the AAA Surprised

As You can see also, the 68060 part is running at 80MHz. Can this be trance ? Shocked

One can wonder in which speed the 68060 runs on a Pegasos with G3 processor ?
lisardman - Mar 14, 2006 - 03:54
Post subject: RE: I have a computer with AAA chipset :-)
10MHz?
dholm - Mar 14, 2006 - 07:12
Post subject: RE: I have a computer with AAA chipset :-)
Does it even matter?

Post subject: RE: I have a computer with AAA chipset :-)
not really

Post subject: RE: I have a computer with AAA chipset :-)
lisardman,

10MHz ? Smile Have You really tested ? can you please show some screenshot or such ?

As reference, the 68060 were made by Motorola running at 50Mhz. There is also some models running at 60 and 75Mhz. But if I not remember wrong at least the 75MHz one wasn't fully complete, for the FPU-part.

A speed increase from 50 - 80MHz is around 40%, 50/80 = 0.625. Not so bad for being 'emulation' I think.

yes I have..

It says 10Mhz
gunne - Mar 14, 2006 - 11:59
Post subject:
lisardman,

Strange it says PPC: 7447 / 1000MHz if you are running on a G3 Smile

I think your picture is fake.

Post subject:
you know I have a G4.... how could it be fake?
gunne - Mar 14, 2006 - 12:19
Post subject:
lisardman,

If so, your G4 seems to be much more bad then the one I use .-)

Strange, when I run the same program on my peg1 it thinks I have a A1200 060-66 with 601Mhz PPC ?

It also say that I have AGA graphics and a 0Mhz FPU.

Can You take a screenshot on this ?

so? we got the same hardware? and same skin.. I like that skin..
gunne - Mar 20, 2006 - 15:01
Post subject:
lisardman,

Well, if You insist, so...

# Its very unlikely that You should grab the window in exactly the same size as I did. Also as I stretched the window to the size in which I made the grab.

# Its very unlikely that you should have exactly the same MUI configuration when it comes to scrollists etc..

# Its very unlikely that you should use exactly the same color scheme as I do.

# Its very unlikely that you should use exactly the same configuration for buttons in the window title bar as I do.

# etc...

Nevertheless of the above...

# Its very unlikely that you in the program should get the information that Your system is running the 68060 part in 10 MHz if you are using a Pegasos II with a G4 7447-processor as the other information tells.

Have a nice day ! Smile

Post subject:
You guys seems not to know anything ? Razz

AAA = Advanced Amiga Architecture chipset. You can read some facts about AAA here: Amiga history guide

AA = AGA = Advanced Amiga

Now take look at the screenshots from my first post in this thread, and You will notice that Scout tells I have AAA chipset in the machine.

But I still wonders why my peg1 is detected as an A1200 ? ..very strange.
gunne - Mar 26, 2006 - 14:52
Post subject:
glenn,

My guess is you should ask the author of Scout about this, and whats the reason behind.

And there is more differences between a Peg II and a Peg 1. It is a Peg 1 You have, isn't it ?
