Genesi: Dave Mothersole joins Power.org Technical Committee

San Antonio, TX 2006-08-01- Genesi announced today that Dave Mothersole would join the Technical Committee of Power.org. The Technical Committee's mission is to establish and maintain the overall technical vision and goals for Power.org. The Committee defines and manages specific objectives and tactics to achieve Power.org's technical goals. The Technical Committee is responsible for forming and supervising the Technical Subcommittees (TSCs) that develop Draft Specifications and Draft Implementations around the Power Architecture..
Dave Mothersole is a Genesi Fellow and assists Genesi in an advisory capacity. Dave has been immersed in the development of the Power Architecture since conception. Dave was formally responsible for the Motorola/Freescale Networking and Computing Systems Group's (NCSG) technology strategy and leading-edge systems and intellectual property development. During his 25 years at Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector, now Freescale, Dave served in a variety of technical and executive roles, including VP of architecture and systems platforms, founder and general manager of the PowerPC products division and director of engineering for the microprocessor products group. Dave holds 23 patents in the fields of system architecture and microprocessor implementation.
