          | Hi,
I've just installed Yellowdog Linux 4 on my Pegasos. I've only just managed to get it to work because every time I tried to boot it it would get to the point where it loads the X server and I'd get a blank screen.

I've managed to get into Linux now by using the VGA port on my graphics card (Radeon 9250) instead of the DVI port. I have had similar problems with Windows, so I think the monitor (an LCD TV, Acer AL2671W) isn't reporting to the system that it has a DVI port. (Incidentally, MorphOS seems to work fine through DVI, presumably because it doesn't auto-detect the monitor's capabilities.)

Is there any way to force the drivers to use the DVI port? I only ask because I currently use my Windows box through VGA, so I'd like to keep using my Pegasos through DVI (to save messing around with switch boxes etc.)

 Thanks in advance.

 Matt

          | Think you need to add the following line to your xorg.conf in the Section "Device"
 | Code: | | Option "MonitorLayout" "TMDS" |
