It has been reproduced but the bug has not been found yet. Delaying
the 1.4.4 release for this bug would not have made much sense as dholm
is the only one suffering from this problem, or at least the only one
reporting it.
My personal guess is that it's some sort of race condition, triggered
by an unusual hardware setup. Such things can be notoriously hard to
find as it may happen in code that looks perfectly fine.
