| | | | The Register has a scoop that IBM may use AMD Opteron motherboards for the POWER 7 CPU. The POWER 7 would be designed to fit the Opteron motherboard with just a "slight modification". This would keep the costs down for IBM and possibly lower the prices of their server systems. The article say Sun Microsystems may be heading in the same direction..
