|  |  |  | The latest Topp500.org list of the world's fastest super computers has been released. IBM BlueGene/L remains in the number one spot with 131072, 700 MHz PowerPC CPUs. This monster max out at 280 Tflops.
Number two is a Cray installation with 26544 Opteron CPUs just passing 100 Tflops. The fastest machine in Europe is the MareNostrum JS21 BladeCenter with 10240 PowerPC 970 CPUs running at 62 Tflops which makes a fifth place on the list.

Wonder how big the energey consumption on those machines, don't think my sallery would cover the power bill.
