| | | | The old speed record over Internet2 has been broken. The Californa Institiue of Technology (Caltech) and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) transferred 859 GB in less than 17 minutes. The avarage speed was 6.63 Gbit/s. This equals to a full-length DVD movie in 4 seconds.

* S2io's Xframe 10GbE server adapter
* Cisco 7600 series routers
* Newisys 4300 servers using AMD Opteron processors
* Itanium servers
* 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003
