| | | | IBM will push its Power5 line of servers down into the low end of the market, taking Linux with it.
On September 24 their new Power5 servers are scheduled to be released. They will ship with either Red Hat or SuSE Linux.

These new 64-bit eServer OpenPower machines are not to be sold with IBM's own UNIX - AIX.
They can be purchased with either Power5 1.5GHz or 1.65GHz. Both rack mount and towers are available. The system can hold either the single or dual-core versions of the Power5.
