Handwriting recognition for MorphOS
Posted by: on Saturday, October 02, 2004 - 23:05
Submitted by Merko
On Friday, October 8, Johan Rönnblom will present his MSc thesis. A system for recognition of unconstrained on-line handwriting, as found on PDAs, has been developed on MorphOS. The study examines the choice of certain parameters for such systems. The resulting software can presently cope with writing that is mostly unconnected, as the training set used thus far does not contain connected characters. The presentation will of course also be done on MorphOS.

Everyone is invited to take part in the presentation, which takes place on Friday October 8, at 16.00. The place is Maskinsektionen, Chalmers, Hörsalsvägen 7, Göteborg, Sweden, room Omega.
