| | | | A 12.000 PowerPC CPU Supercomputer (Stella) was recently installed in Groningen, Netherlands. Its mission is to process radiosignals coming from 20.000 simple radio antennaes across Netherlands.
The antennaes are called Lofar (Low Frequency Array) and will be completed in 2008. The information will be sent from the antennaes to the datacenter at 22 Tbit/s today and up to 50 Tbits/s in 2010.
