These montly news are part of the news-exchange between Amigarulez and Pegasos.org. The major news-item this month was of course the OS4 Pre-Release Update 4.

It was the best update compared with the previous ones, Petunia being the main factor together with screen-dragging.
The major new things in the update: * All-new Warp3D with support for Voodoo 3/4/5 and ATI Radeon models 7000, 7200, 7500, 9000, 9200 and 9250.
* Petunia Just-In-Time 68k emulator.
* All-new Intuition with advanced features like flicker-free window redraw and new screen dragging features (among other things, screens can be dragged freely in any direction and will reveal other screens beneath even if dragged sideways)
* Updated ExecSG kernel
* New Extended Input System allows the use of mouse wheels on both PS/2 and USB mice, and the use of Multimedia keyboards (with keys like volume control, play/pause etc)

Among the new files there was: Python 2.4.1 for AmigaOS 4.0 a straight port from Python 2.4.1 for OS4, LightWave RTG Patch that allow LightWave to correctly function
on RTG-only systems running AmigaOS4.

HTTP-handler, a HTTP: device for accessing web-hosted files.

a first version of a 64 bit version of the SFS filesystem appeared. It gives Support for files > 4 GB for OS4. There is also a version for AmigaOS 3.x/m68k.
Epistula, the instant messenger came with version 50.11, now with plugins for MSN och ICQ.
AmigaAMP got a fix for the OS4 WarpUP, to get rid of "unfree signals" and memory leaks.
AISS , a system to store, access and maintain toolbar images under AmigaOS.

A new release of Feelin . Feelin is an open-source object-oriented framework for the AmigaOS3.x and 4, AROS and MorphOS.
