| | | | Genesi has started a 20-node PowerPC cluster for building POWER binaries - both 32 and 64 bit. There are currently 3332 packages online for the EFIKA, Open Desktop Workstation, Open Server Workstation and the HMC Reference Platform.
The cluster runs on Gentoo Linux.

It is still in Pilot, but so far so good. What would really be great is to have this on a Blue Gene. We are aiming for that. Take a look at this system we also set up here:
http://svn.blastwave.org/
You can "trac" the whole thing from here:
http://polaris.blastwave.org/
The idea ultimately is to enable a developer to select a tool, a target and an OS, and then, get compilation support, as well as a mechanism for release, bugfixes and QA before a distribution freeze and release. It moves software development and support to a whole new level.
