Submitted by ironfist
The Gentoo/PPC64 team has released a beta version of a LiveCD that works with Sony Playstation 3 and the PowerMac G5. You can download it from the Gentoo mirrors in the experimental section (Swedish mirror). The size of the ISO is 612 MB.

"The LiveCD works on PS3s and G5 Apple PowerMacs. It contains a full Gnome desktop as well as:
* Firefox-2x (Bon Echo)
* Audacious
* Xchat
* Gaim
* Evolution
* Gimp-2
Among other things, we plan to add Thunderbird in the near future."

It was the working name for what was to become Firefox 2. Though only Debian used that, but obviously not.

If you like things to be limited as in Microsofts WM Explorer, then it's a good option, except that all the request buttons are in the wrong order and it looks like trash (of course thats a question about opinion, IMHO Gnome looks a lote better than Gnome2).
