Hyperion Entertainment is pleased to announce the immediate availability of AmigaOS 4.1 for the Pegasos II PowerPC platform. AmigaOS 4.1 for the Pegasos II is functionally identical to the AmigaOne version.
Worldwide distribution to dealers and production are handled by ACube Systems S.r.l. .
Interested customers are invited to contact their local Amiga dealer to place their order.

I guess Hyperion needed money and releasing it to PegasosII widened the market 10-100 times.
I would say this was a good move, but it may be have been too late.
