| | | | FreeBSD and Linux on top of most reliable sites again. Half of the top ten sites were running BSD based operating systems, with four running Linux, and hosting.com nee Express Technologies running Windows.

| | | | Uppsala, Sweden -- With the support of the Genesi/Freescale PegasosPPC Pilot Project, the MySQL core development team has received a full complement of PowerPC-enabled Open Desktop Workstations. "We are excited about this new alternative platform. Sony Europe's success with MySQL on Pegasos has opened our eyes to its potential. We are pleased to be able to offer our internal resources support for this platform," said Mika Asikainen, MySQL's Partner Manager.
There where also a seminar and introduction made at the Uppsala office - when delivering of the machines. The introduction was held by Gunne Steen and David Holm.

Pawel did show and demonstrated the Pegasos computer running both Linux and MorphOS at the conference.

Note, not so many pictures showing especially the Pegasos, but some of them.

| | | | The YAM development team released the new official YAM Newsletter #15.
Every user is asked to contribute to this new webpage as it is based on a wiki engine to which every user has access to. Together with this two new services, the YAM team announces that the automatic nightly builds are now available under the new address http://nightly.yam.ch/. They also mention a new logo contest that is currently running due to the fact that they are searching for graphic artists designing a complete new logo for their project.

| | | | A few weeks ago, IBM quietly released Object Rexx to the open source community. RexxLA - the REXX Language Association - targeting the first release of Open Object REXX for early 2005.
IBM's programming and scripting language, REXX, may have achieved a unique range of supported platforms, with success on everything from the Commodore Amiga to OS/2 to IBM mainframes. Over the years, REXX gained object-oriented features, and turned into Object Rexx, with programming interfaces to DB2, C, and C++ applications.

From Debian webpage;
