A security hole has been detected in the proc filesystem, affecting all kernel versions <=2.4.26 and <=2.6.7.
If you are running Gentoo and allow users other than yourself to access your computer you should immediately upgrade to pegasos-sources-2.4.26-r4 or pegasos-dev-sources-2.6.7-r5 depending on which kernel version you are using.
