Mozilla grows fast - doubled in 9 months

According to the browser stats at W3Schools, Mozilla is beeing used more and more. The last nine months it has doubled its share. In August 2004 it had a share of 14.9%. Internet Explorer shrinks slowly and currently stands at about 78% (IE6: 70.5%, IE5: 7.0%).
Netscape weighs in at about 2%.

Internet2 Speed Record Broken

The old speed record over Internet2 has been broken. The Californa Institiue of Technology (Caltech) and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) transferred 859 GB in less than 17 minutes. The avarage speed was 6.63 Gbit/s. This equals to a full-length DVD movie in 4 seconds.

Hardware specs:
* S2io's Xframe 10GbE server adapter
* Cisco 7600 series routers
* Newisys 4300 servers using AMD Opteron processors
* Itanium servers
* 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003
