about Roadshow

Roadshow is an Amiga TCP/IP stack allows you to connect to the Internet, access your e-mail, web pages, chat, etc. It can also help you access and exchange files within your local home network.
Roadshow is one of the fastest, if not the fastest Amiga TCP/IP stack. In sustained data transmission tests, Roadshow was able to receive 997 KBytes/s (tested on an Amiga 3000T, using 40 MHz 68040 WarpEngine CPU card and an Ariadne Ethernet card).

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 130 preview is now available to view online
Posted by: Trizt on Friday, December 22, 2017 - 09:48
Submitted by AndreasM
This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 130 (January/February 2018) can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Review Flug der Amazon Queen (german Version)
Show Report Amiga 32
Workshop FreePascal part 1

Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.

Needless to say you often get other versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Readers' cover CD.

A detailed description of content and excerpts of this current issue can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=cat&cat=13

The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue is available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

Build your own RPi-Amiga

With a bit of cash you can get yourself a new "Amiga" by using Amibian on a Raspberry Pi 3, it will still be a speedy Amiga compared with a stock A4000, with some overclocking it will be a super fast Amiga.

Ars-Technica reviews A-EON Amiga X5000
Posted by: Trizt on Monday, May 29, 2017 - 06:13
Submitted by Trizt
So when a brand new Amiga computer arrived at my doorstep in 2017, you can imagine it was quite a surprise. Accordingly, the Amiga X5000 is a curious beast. In some respects, it's more closely related to its predecessors than either modern PCs or Macintoshes. Yet this is a fully current machine capable of taking on modern workloads. How such a device came to be is a fascinating story, but that's not our goal today—let’s dive into what the experience of using the X5000 is like.

...

The X5000 is a strange beast. It’s like a window into an alternate universe where Commodore never went bankrupt and the Amiga platform never died. The fact that both the hardware and operating system were produced at all is a monument to the passion and dedication of the folks at A-EON and Hyperion Entertainment.

...
