The website UtilityBase is (re)launched. Originally started as an AmigaDE site, it has now gotten a new name, a new look and focus on all types of Amiga development including AmigaOS, MorphOS, AROS and AmigaAnywhere.

UtilityBase sports among other things tutorials, tips and tricks, news, source and other related tihngs to development for Amiga-based systems.

We've been asking for help on porting KHTML for over a year now. I think litterally I've been asking for this about fifty times now, but no one ever reacts. Why?

Having worked closely with browser technologies for about five years now, I can tell you that IBrowse, AWeb and Voyager are incredibly far behind what other browsers can do. This is 1996-1997 standards. IBrowse doesn't even support HTML4!

KMOS has bought Amiga Inc.

Dr. Garry Hare made the announcement at AmiWest 2004 that they have acquired all of Amiga Inc. The transcript of his speech made at the banquet can be found here.
Other interesting things in his speech includes the claim that AmigaOS 4.0 final will be released before the end of the year. There is also an interview with Ben Hermans that holds some interesting information about AmigaOS and its future.

Yesterday we had a little unofficial PUGS-meeting at Gunne's place. As the owner of GGS-Data he had OS4 Developer Pre-release at his home installed on one of his AmigaONEs..

If you want some good reading about the past 10 years after Commodore then you should head over to Editor Michal has also written an editorial about the current Amiga-situation.

Have a read - with open eyes - it is very interesting.

This weekend Amiga Meeting 2004 was held in Lodz, Poland. Lots of nice Amigastuff was shown including MorphOS 1.5 with Radeon 3D, BurnIT 3 etc.
