|  |  |  | The adoption of EU Council's "common position" on a software patent directive has been delayed once again. This opens another window of opportunity for the European Parliament to restart the entire process, cancelling the dreadful Council text of 18 May 2004.
Since the political situation in Europe has changed (for example, due to the positions of Poland and Netherlands) future negotiations in the EU Council would almost certainly lead to a more acceptable result.

GGS-Data and Kiwi Multimedia start cooperating.
For costumers of Kiwi Multimedia in Denmark it means that orders of Amiga assortment, Pegasos computers and Amigaone computers should be placed in GGS-Data webshop and will also be shipped to Denmark from GGS-Data in Sweden.
There is possibility for costumers in Denmark to pick up shipped goods at Kiwi Multimedia in Denmark. All support will be handled by GGS-Data.
The range of software products by Kiwi Multimedia, for instance, Adobe CS Premium, Maxon Cinema etc is now available to purchase through GGS-Data in Sweden.

|  |  |  | Once again there is a try to sneak in the Software Patent Directive into the agenda of the Agricultural Council's meeting next Monday. FFII has mailed to their memebers and supporters and asked them to make the ministers aware of this and to see to that it will be lifted out of the agenda once more, so that the EU parlament can vote about it in the proper manner.

There will be presentations with topics such as AltiVec and Software patents. We will also have competitions, an arcade game and much more. And not to forget, a sauna.
The last day for registration is now set to 18th February. We can not guarantee any unregistered person a place.

|  |  |  | Remote Desktop OS 4.0 version got a Reaction GUI a few days ago. #amigazeux made their own GUI in MUI. This works for all Remote Desktop versions; OS 3.1, OS 4.0 and MorphOS.

|  |  |  | TwinVNC is a new VNC client for AmigaOS and MorphOS.
It supports 3-button and/or scrollwheel mice. Most keys are also supposed to work such as Page Up/Down, "\~`{}[]" etc. Haven't tried myself so someone trying are more than welcome to confirm this.
It can be downloaded from http://twinvnc.free.fr/.
Téléchargement is the french word for download :)
