The Freescale MPC8641D 2.0 Dual Core Power Architectureâ„¢ processor features 2 e600 processor cores, each with AltiVecâ„¢ vector processing units, 1MB L2 cache, PCI Express peripheral links, DDR2 memory controller and multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Power Developer is a developer and end-user framework run by Genesi, encompassing Sponsored Project programs, Forums and Workshops, Articles, Downloads, Reference materials and support for Genesi platforms and Power Architecture hardware and software in general.

|  |  |  | Bill and Raquel blogged today, hinting us that their Dual 970MP workstation, Open Server Workstation, will be on sale next week.
"The Open Server Workstation is a six layer board with two 970MP processors, the CPC945 and Broadcom's HT-1000 and 2000 chips. Excepting those parts, the board and component cost is below $200. Here is the Business Plan we wrote for the board."

The ATI System Certification program is designed to assist end-users find high quality pre-built systems that use ATI chipsets. Certified Systems must demonstrate the highest degree of stability, usability and functionality to be called "Certified by ATI".

The Technical Committee's mission is to establish and maintain the overall technical vision and goals for Power.org. The Committee defines and manages specific objectives and tactics to achieve Power.org's technical goals. |  |  |  | The Open Desktop Workstation has finally been certified by ATI. As you can see the list is very short. The ODW is the first computer system to be certified.
The Genesi Smart Firmware is what makes all this happen. It contains a x86 video BIOS emulation that lets you use normal off-the-shelves graphics adapters instead of purchasing the same with PowerPC firmware for a whole lot more.
