Apple To Use Intel Chips?

Wall Street Journal is reporting today that Apple has been in talks with Intel to use its chips in the Macs. Wall Street Journal are citing two industry executives with insight in these discussions. Neither comany confirms any decision and an Apple spokeswoman rejected this as "rumour and specualtion".

Reuters writes about better competative possibilities for Apple with cheaper mainstream chips.

For Intel this would be a prestigious win over IBM - Apple's current main supplier.

Apple sues Think Secret over 500$ G4 iMac

Apple on Tuesday sued the publisher of Mac enthusiast site Think Secret and other unnamed individuals, alleging that recent postings on the site contain Apple trade secrets, according to court documents seen by CNET

In its suit, Apple specifically lists certain articles that contain confidential information, though it does not confirm which of the article's details are true. For example, when mentioning the report that Apple plans a "G4-based iMac without display," Apple says the article "disclosed numerous confidential details regarding the technical capabilities of Apple's unreleased computer product as well as Apple's confidential marketing plans."

They have also sued over leakage of Apples on Office suite and more.

The Mac-on-Linux Live-CD PegXMAC has been updated to version 1.3. PegXMAC works for Pegasos I/II and AmigaONE. PegXMAC is a Live-CD and needs no HD-installation (except MacOS 9/X).

New features:
* Upgraded kernel from 2.4.25 to 2.6.8
* Added SCSI support
